Andy Wortlock is an award winning writer, creator, and producer. He accidentally became a children’s author after telling too many bedtime stories that made his kids laugh - who then insisted he write them down.

That turned into Cats Don’t Like That!, which won an award and found its way onto the bestseller list… where it has quietly remained. A few more books followed - and they’re still up there too.

Andy is also the founder of Splash Books and the creator of other original kids’ IP now in development with studios, broadcasters, writers, and illustrators for television. Whether it’s books or screen content, his work blends humour, heart, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting.

He creates ideas and stories that kids love, parents tolerate, and grandparents accidentally buy twice. He still can’t quite believe he gets to do this everyday - he simply enjoys making people smile.
